安土早紀子　Sakiko ANDO

瀬戸内海にある人口15人の志々島に暮らす安土早紀子氏と、そこで生活を共にした町田紗記氏（画家）のユニットが制作したアニメーション作品「境界を飛びこえて」。その上映や、ライブペイント、音楽といったアート行為を通じて、動植物と人間の境界、生と死の境界を飛びこえ、私たちもいきものであること、いつか土に還ることを伝えます。それは私たちが直面している異常気象や人間同士の分断への一つの解となり、木を植えることからスタートしたFAFの根本にある思想を体現します。また、安土が主導する8組のアーティストとの共同作品「死の絵本」の原画展をレーのアートスペースLAMOにて開催します。

Crossing the Boundary is an animated work created by a unit consisting of Sakiko Ando, who lives on Shishijima—an island in the Seto Inland Sea with a population of just 15—and painter Saki Machida, who once shared life there.
Through screenings of this animation, along with live painting and music performances, the project invites audiences to transcend the boundaries between humans and other living beings, as well as between life and death. It conveys the idea that we, too, are part of the living world and will one day return to the soil.
This perspective offers one response to the climate crisis and the divisions among people that we face today, and embodies the core philosophy of the Forest Art Festival, which began with the act of planting trees.
In addition, an exhibition of original drawings from The Picture Book of Death, a collaborative work led by Ando with eight artists, will be presented at LAMO(Ladakh Arts and Media Organisation), Leh.

Profile
Based on Shishijima in the Seto Inland Sea, she is a singer and performer who has collaborated extensively with visual artists. Notable collaborations include works with Yusuke Asai (Kanazu Forest of Creation, 2024) and Chiharu Mizukawa (Hajimari Art Center, 2024), among others.
