おぐりちはや Chihaya OGURI
2017年にマトー村の公立学校にて子どもたちと壁画「ワイルドローズ」を完成させた漫画家の小栗千隼氏。多くの村人の記憶に残るアーティストである彼が、今年度は、同じ学校の他の教室に漫画の手法をベースに、子どもたちとの交流から生まれてくるキャラクターなどを散りばめた壁画を描く予定です。漫画の小さな種が教室いっぱいに広がります。たくさんの子どもたちの想いがそこに込められ、植樹した木々が森となり広がっていくような壁画を完成させ、FAFをよりインタラクティブなアートプロジェクトにしていきます。
プロフィール
漫画家。1992年東京生まれ。和光高等学校卒業後、2014年小学館主催「サンデーまんがカレッジ」にて努力賞を受賞し、東京工芸大学芸術学部中退。「少年サンデーウェブ」にてデビュー。「少年サンデースーパー」誌面にて作品が複数回掲載される。2021年新潮社主催「月刊コミックバンチ漫画賞」にて奨励賞を受賞。エコヴィレッジ創設に参画。リアカーハウス暮らしを経たのちにインディペンデントに漫画を発表しつつ、壁画やライブペイントなど創作のスタイルを広げている。
主な漫画作品に『スーパーセカイ人』（連作漫画zine)、『田舎コミュニティエクスタシー』(Amazon Kindle ストアにて発売中）など。主なアート展に「異世界散歩」（2024年 ツォモリリ文庫、東京）、「スーパーセカイ人」（2025年 ツォモリリ文庫、東京）。主な芸術祭参加に「EARTH ART PROJECT in Ladakh (2017 インド）、「ウォールアートフェスティバルふくしまin 猪苗代」（2018,2022 福島県）。
Manga artist Chihaya Oguri, who created the mural Wild Rose together with children at a public school in Matho Village in 2017, remains vividly remembered by many members of the community.
This year, he plans to create a new mural in another classroom at the same school. Drawing on manga techniques, the work will incorporate characters that emerge from his interactions with the children.
Small “seeds” of manga will spread across the classroom, filled with the thoughts and imaginations of many children. Like the trees planted at the site that will one day grow into a forest, the mural will expand and take shape—further developing the Forest Art Festival into a more interactive art project.
Profile
Manga artist. Born in Tokyo in 1992. After graduating from Wako High School, he received the Effort Prize at the “Sunday Manga College” organized by Shogakukan in 2014, and later withdrew from the Faculty of Arts at Tokyo Polytechnic University. He made his debut on “Shonen Sunday Web,” his multiple works subsequently published in Shonen Sunday Super.
In 2021, he received the Encouragement Award at the “Monthly Comic Bunch Manga Award” organized by Shinchosha. He has also been involved in the founding of an eco-village. After a period of living in in a hand-pulled cart house, they began publishing manga independently while expanding his creative practice to include murals and live painting.
